About Pipe

My work with pipes began with a moment of inspiration found in the sharp, angled tip of a syringe needle. This sparked a process where thousands of pipes are meticulously calculated, cut, and welded one by one to manifest a predetermined form. This journey is one of immense precision, shaped by countless trials and errors. The essence of this work lies in the harmony of unity—how individual entities converge toward a single goal to create a collective whole, while each pipe remains vital and indispensable.

Though these are made of pipes, they are essentially "sculptures of space." These layered voids create a unique, rhythmic resonance. Depending on the viewer’s perspective, the surface patterns shift and evolve, and when viewed from the front, the work reveals its characteristic transparency, allowing the world beyond to pass through. Under the themes of Love, Happiness, and Hope, I arrange multiple objects to interact and respond to one another. This serves as a metaphor for our human journey—how we live together, coexist, and leave lasting imprints on each other’s lives.
